unfortunately Mr Tang is banned from this message board and i am strongly opposed to that. i thought he gave alot of good and safe advice for anything i needed any problems with

i would use filter sponge, that way you are sure it to be safe for the aquarium
because car types may also contain dyes and d i do not knwo what exactly they are made of

and i woudl use Q' and hypo on all for at least one month, it is not as stressful as any parasites they could catch or have

I have three QT tanks with diffrent stuff. One has lr and ls.One is just bare bones. The other one just has play sand. I put diffrent fish in diffrent tanks.The 2 ones with no lr are 10 gallons and the one with lr is 29 gallon. I keep good bacteria in by when im not qt ing fish i have some mollies.
