URI VHO bulbs.......Pink???

I just replaced my VHO bulbs from coralife to URI and I must say I am very dissapointed. It is a nasty pink color, when before it was a crisp white with a hint of blue. The intensity dont look nearly as bright as my coralife bulbs also. I replaced a 24" 75w 10,000k and actinic bulb.
Did I get defective bulbs or is this just the look of URI bulbs?

You must have gotten a bad bulb. I have always used URI and they are very bright and the actinic/white bulbs are very white in color and the actinic 03's are are blue to purple color. I have never seen a pink one.

well here my URI's the camera didn't like the brightness though. I run 4 all day and I'm putting on another timer today to run the other two just for a few hours. This is looking down into my tank. my bulbs sit on glass tank braces about 1" off the water. But no pink.and I use an Ice Cap 660.

You must have gotten the aquasun bulbs by URI, I am trying my first pair out and I will not use them again. I much prefer the 50/50 actinic bulbs much better.

exactly! i got an aquasun and a super actinic 03... guess this is how they are supposed to look :mad: oh well back to my other 10,000k bulb

get the uri white's...i run 2 of those and 2 uri actinic 03's and my tank looks like blk's... by the way - think we have the same ballast kit.. coralife 4 lamp vho electronic ballast kit :D

Yea this is bad. Im going to have to change it tonight. Good to hear that the white actinic have a pink hue to them as well because Ill just use the URI actinic and coralife 10,000k.
