I’m sorry…but what was that about a ‘three-peat,’ dear USC fans? Speak up; I can’t hear you! Oh, you’re keeping silent? That’s right; because not only was your ill-conceived notion of a ‘three-peat’ the most insulting, idiotic sports declaration of 2005-2006, but your team couldn’t even close the deal on an opponent that had to be carried by just one player. Granted, Vince Young is one hell of a dynamic player, but he’s still one man. And the Trojans couldn’t defend against him. Pathetic.
On behalf of all LSU fans, let the record forever be shown that USC captured only one BCS Championship and two Associated Press titles. Although my plea will undoubtedly fall upon deaf ears, the national media needs to let this whole 'three-peat' debacle go and should apologize to LSU and its fans for effectively sweeping them under the rug for the sake of instant history.
