Thank God for Texas. I hate USC. I still think they are the better team - they are stacked -but the Horns played a better game and Young was on fire. Young should get out of school while the gettins good.
Brady Quinn for the Heisman!

Held Over: Three Championships for USC? Try One
04:28 PM CST on Friday, January 6, 2006
Kevin Held / Staff Writer
I’m sorry…but what was that about a ‘three-peat,’ dear USC fans? Speak up; I can’t hear you! Oh, you’re keeping silent? That’s right; because not only was your ill-conceived notion of a ‘three-peat’ the most insulting, idiotic sports declaration of 2005-2006, but your team couldn’t even close the deal on an opponent that had to be carried by just one player. Granted, Vince Young is one hell of a dynamic player, but he’s still one man. And the Trojans couldn’t defend against him. Pathetic.
On behalf of all LSU fans, let the record forever be shown that USC captured only one BCS Championship and two Associated Press titles. Although my plea will undoubtedly fall upon deaf ears, the national media needs to let this whole 'three-peat' debacle go and should apologize to LSU and its fans for effectively sweeping them under the rug for the sake of instant history.

Key word is BCS...can only be one BCS champion each year. Two years ago it was LSU. .A game was played and they beat OK for the holy grail.

You are right about the BCS, but USC has the AP from 2003...my bad
The 2003 Championship is split though...

While the BCS game is not perfect..and debate will always happen..and perhaps the best two teams do not always play in that game ...at least the BCS champion has to win a game...as oppsed to winnng a popularity contest in the AP

But thats how they get ranked...votes, and USC was ranked #1, why they didnt play against #2 (LSU) is beyond me, and the BCS computer ranking should go away!!! let 1 play 2 for the National Championship...plain and simple
but you cannot deny the fact that the Championship is split...

Nope..BCS championship is not split. AP popularity contest belongs to USC....USC won the beauty pagent..LSU won the BCS national championship game. Was the computer wrong and the judges right? Possibly......
