use skimmer?

OK i have a cpr laying around and i was wondering if i should use it on my 135 gallon, iam asking this becuase i dont have any filteration the the tank right now. it still hasnt started the cycle.

Unless your CPR is a CY194 or 294, it's too small and not rated for a tank of that size.

I personally don't believe in running a skimmer until the cycle is over. Just my opinion though.

I agree on no skimmer during the cycle, unless you're cycling with uncured liverock.. Then, I feel a very big skimmer is a must, otherwise, it will be very nasty.
