I just scoerd big!
I got a Sea Clone 100 Skimmer, a Fluval 404, a heater, and a tap water deionizer for $25.
So far, I know that the heater and the skimmer work, so if nothing else does, I'm still ahead of the game.
So, I was wondering what I can do in terms of cleaning it to ensure I dont get any nasty stuff passed on into my tank?

You can soak the equipment in a vinegar/water solution overnight, then scrub away the next day. Rinse with warm water.
The vinegar helps gets rid of most stuff surprisingly easy.
