Used Flame Angel

Ok so I realy want a Flame in my tank or a bright red fish as the back of my tank is blue. The question is the same old thing about Flames, but I was thinking of getting one from someone that has one in a reef tank that is taking it down. Thing I am asking is if the change might make it start nipping at stuff?
Any idea's on other red reef safe fish?

You could try a Longfin Fairy wrasse, a Red Fin Fairy wrasse, a Filamented Flasher's wrasse or some sort a flasher wrasse would do as well. A Flame angel would probably do some nipping.

A move in tanks or change in aquascaping can cause a fish to start nipping that maybe didnt used to, or even it can cause two fish that used to get along to now start fighting. Any change in situations like those cause a "reset" in a way for fish behavior.

Moving a fish from a local's tank is no different than moving a fish from LFS or not to mention, it's original home of the ocean. . . . You will have the chance of nipping matter where he/she comes from.

No matter how much you feed them they will have a taste for certain corals. mine will munch xenia like its nothing. same with zoos, theres no amount of food in the world that could keep it away from zoos. good looking fish, but they will teach you real fast which corals you cant keep.

I always hear that flame hawks do really good in a reef tank and the have more of a personality than the angels

I had a Flame Hawk for about a year, never nipped at anything. They are listed as "With Caution" in a reef, because they will typically eat ornamental shrimp.
