snake oil thats all it is.
anyone that says they used it and it worked ,just wait untill thier water gets a little bad or the fish get stressed then they will see .
the stuff isnt even all that coral and invert safe either.
the only way to rid the tank of ich is to seperate the fish from the corals and inverts and treat them.

I am not in favor of adding bottled products to a reef tank to treat diseases. When first in this hobby (before finding swf.com) I used this product and observed that it appeared to make my Ich infested fish look better and 'feel' better (they ate better and swam better..no rock flashing, etc.). However, eventually days/weeks the Ich would always return.
So I have a mixed vote on this.....I think it helps control a nasty outbreak but will not eliminate the problem. I would always advise the use of a QT and appropriate treatment to eliminate a disease at this point.

You could also try reducing the lightime. The fish are more active and stressed during lighting. Sometimes I run my blue lights only. Sort of like a cloudy day in the ocean. If water is warm, float a bag of ice at top.Garlic extreme helps boost their immune system plus depending on what your feeding some foods have garlic added. It seems to be a fine line of what is overfeeding but my fish seem to get wired when not fed enough.

Anything that reduces stress and/or boosts the immune system will probably help with controlling the symptoms of ich and save a few fish from their immediate danger. However, if you do not eliminate the parasite completely your fish will eventually fight the Ich battle another day.
IMHO any bottled garlic formula is virtually worthless. Better to spend the money on a QT set up. Their is real debate whether even fresh garlic (Allicin)
boosts the immune system in anything.....the allicin is long gone in any bottled formulation....

I tried it years ago with no luck.. Sounds like a lot of fish for a 55g regardless of size IMO.
