just got a whole bunch of live sand and wonder if I need to clean it out since it has a lot of black mince stuff like mud, and stink. If so how?

I would leave the sand alone for now because you could disrupt the bacteria population. Wait it out and check those parameters

right now the sand is in 2(5g) bucket and wonder is i should move it to a larger container and add some water movement to it.

Tboy if you just went out to the beach and got some live sand you are not going to want to put that in your tank, so that is my best advice.

no, I don't know why you got that idea but i just bought a whole aquarium with lr and ls in it. LR is in place now already but the sand i didn't know what to do with it.

If it were me I would put it in a Rubbermaid trash can and stir/ rinse it with change water from your DT. Sounds like some of it is beyond anaerobic and borderline anoxic (hydrogen sulfide) the black stinks like rotted eggs. You could also have a ton of trapped NO3 in it and detritus . If stirring and rising with change water isn't getting the job done and you still show a lot of NO3. Then rinse it with a garden hose as a last resort and do one last RO saltwater rinse.
