There is a 90 gallon tank with oakstand and accessories listed in my newspaper today for $440. Anyone have advise about what to ask besides what accessories come with it? :notsure:

what condition is the tank in? and how old is the tank. ask about the seams if it's a glass tank. the silicone should be clear and gummy still, not clalky and dry

Those are the kinds of problems I worried about. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be worth the extra money to buy a new tank. Any other thoughts?

it all depends on the quality of the tank/ equipment and how much you want to spend.. but i would personally go and inspect the tank and equipment before buying it. i mean.. assessories?? for all you know it could be a undergraval filter and a seaclone skimmer.. but then agin.. a 90 gal is way too small to of my intrest..

If its glass, ask the age and inspect the silicone joints carefully, if acrylic look for crazing, small cracks along the edges.
