UV filter

I have a 75 gallon aquarium about 6 months old and have gone thru most of the new person's problems. I now have a small hospital tank, protein skimmer and numerous meds. My tank has 4 damsels, yellow tang, tomato clown, and a host of invertebrates. I want to add an 18w UV filter in my sump tank but am not sure of the best way to power it. Should I buy a 85 gph rio pump and and put the outflow next to the pick up of my rio 2500?

I have my pump connected to my uv and another pipe oging back to my tank
