UV Glass Shield for MH unit shattered

I had visitors today who had kids, and their 2 year old threw a toy on top of my unit and it caused one of the glass shields to shatter. My MH unit is the cheap Odyssea brand, but I upgraded the ballasts to icecap 250s and upgraded the bulbs. I contacted Odyssea about finding a replacement glass shield for the MH bulb, but they said that they don't have a replacement part for that.
This is another reason not to buy a cheap product. Their service and repair sucks. The unit itself after upgrading the ballasts and bulbs is actually nice, but I'm not able to find a replacement part for the UV glass shield.
Any suggestions on where I can find a glass shield. I hope I don't end up having to buy another Odyssea unit just for the broken glass shield. Thanks.

This just happened so I haven't tried any of the glass shops. Do these glass shops have UV glass? Are there different types of UV glass? Is there a special kind of UV made for MH bulbs? The other challenge would be the thickness of the glass.

You would think a glass shop could get any type.....Do you have a piece of it to bring with you?

I have a good piece of glass sheild on the other side that did not shatter. I'll take that to a glass shop and see what they can do. Wish me luck.

Thanks all for you help. I live in the Wash DC area so I should have plenty of options. I'm used to driving up to 80 miles in all directions so I should find something. And Baltimore is a little over 30 miles away so there should be plenty of options. I like my fish/reef hobby, but sometimes I think about givining it all up. For reasons like this.

LOL. I used to be like you, but the cost factor and trouble starts wearing down on you. And the return factor starts slowing down. I guess that's a part of being human. But thanks for encouragement.

I don't mean to sound, well mean...shouldn't the Childs parents foot the bill for the damage junior caused? At least half...children shouldn't be throwing things in the house. I am sure the parents were very apologetic but the damage is going to be costly having to have a custom piece of UV glass cut to size...if it can even be done, you may have to replace the whole unit.

I always had to pay when my little dears damaged peoples stuff...Even toys, my children would do without that new toy they wanted because I had to pour my cash into replacing the toy they broke while visiting a friend.
A couple of times of not getting a new toy and my darlings learned to value other peoples stuff. I made a big deal out of that toy they would have gotten, if only I could have afforded it...
That rule goes for my grandbabies too.
