Vacation Feedings

most saltwater fish can survive and thrive without feeding for many weeks. It is not worth it to trust someone that does not know anything about saltwater fish with an important job like feeding. It would be nice though if you could train someone to come and check on you tank once or twice while your gone and maybe give the fish a bit of food.

You could buy an automatic feeder. Or, put the food in little ziploc bags in the dose that you do, and have whoever is taking care of your tank use the ziploc bag to feed so they don't overfeed. Over the course of a week, I'd worry more about evaporation rather than feeding. Most fish are fine without food for awhile.
