vacuum lr?

is it ok to vacuum some of the excess crud off of the live rock? will this help it revive any a little bit better or is it a bad idea?

I guess you can but I just use a turkey blaster and blow on some of the live rock to clear up any clogged pours in it so it stays clean

Unless you are taking the LR out of the tank and using your shop vac - the suction on your vac is fine.
A better idea is take your powerhead and point it at the spot and blow the stuff off - this changes the water flow and shakes things up a bit.
