valentini in a reef tank?

My question is can I put a valentini pufferfish in a 30 gallon reef tank? I hear they aren't reef safe but has anyone had them in a reef and not had problems with them nipping at shrimp or corals?

Not sure of corals, but they will harass/nip shrimp, pick at feather dusters, and possibly nip fins/bully smaller fish. Not a very good reef fish, imo. Bo

I have a valentini puffer in my 29 gallon reef and he has been the perfect model citizen! He has not harrassed either of my shrimp nor tried to eat any inverts or nip at corals. He doesn't nip fins but he will pick baby feather dusters and other lil creatures off of ur live rock. IME valentini puffers are reef safe. Ryan
