My husband bought a velvet slug to eat flatworms. His tank somehow got infested. He hasn't put anything in there for a long time and all of a sudden--flat worm heaven.
He got the velvet slug and he has been eating like a mad thing. 80% of the worms are gone and the slug has doubled in size.
He moves around like crazy, but tonight he stopped, the back end by the Y part kind of lifted up and this white gelatinous stuff began to surround his head. We thought he had bitten the dust, but about 20 minutes later, off he went on his flatworm search. He left the white stuff behind, attached to a rock.
Question is, is this a she and are these eggs? If not, what the heck was it doing and what the heck is that stuff?
Any ideas?
