i have a 55 Gal... its cycled but im waiting for it to age few more months before i add any real nice fish ....
i really want a pygmy angelfish... sucks that i cant have two... but i want one... any suggestions?
Has anyone had/have a Vermiculated Angelfish? its one that im looking at.... then probably the flame angel .. then coral beauty....
Any experiences with any of these? would anyone recommend any other ones?
Thanks for looking.

we have one in the display at the store. it should be a perfect size fish for a 55 gal at 4-5". they really behave more like a butterfly than an angel, imo. i would recommend them.

I have actually just bought a Vermaculated Angel Fish a few days ago and it is a really nice addition to my 4 week old tank. I have only had him for 4 days or so and the only complaint I have is that he likes to hide in the rock work for the majority of his time. I am sure he is still getting used to the tank and other fish I have in there, but he is super cool to look at. I would say go for it!

thanks! maybe i will...
Can a Flame Angel and a vermiculated angle co-exist in a 55 gallon tank?
i know people say one angel per tank, but i saw a flame angel and a potters angel at my lfs... same tank... they were foraging on the same rock side by side... maybe i can have 2 also?

singapore angel aka vermiculated angel is a very nice addition to the tank! :happyfish i have one, and she got this character a lot different that the others. mine is pretty friendly too, scared at first, but when she got used to the tank (w/c is only 1 day after), she would blend well with the rest of the gang. pretty sociable too. she would always come up to me, and actually nipped on my fingers a few times already. she would also come really close to my hands and rub herself against me. (but won't let me hold her, unlike my puffer....)

it is possible that they could coexist in a 55, since they really aren't that closely related. as for the potter's angel and the flame in the same tank, it worked in the the lfs because they are only there for a brief amount of time. most angels in the centropyge genera will not be able to coexist with another in the same genera for an extended period of time.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the vermaculated angel and the singapore angel?? I went to the lfs, finally thinking I could throw some lingo at this guy, and he shot me down saying it was a singapore angel and not a vermaculated angel.
I am sure there has to be one newbee out there who remembers throwing out some official fish tank talk, hahaha, and worried about getting shot down......right?? Hahaha, anyway, I just figured I would ask.
