VERY cool/cheap way to cover up an IRON stand

I made a post a few days ago regarding this, but didn't get much interest in anyone wanting to see it so I wasn't going to bother...BUT I was bored so I said to hell with it, I'll post it anyway :p :p
There are NO HOLES DRILLED IN THE IRON STAND. This rests on the stand and has fastener type things holding it in place. Take a look
Anyway, It's pretty basic in design...made of solid oak...some screws..some metal stuff, and some hinges, and stick it all together... pictures with description are below.
Picture #1 - The fist shot shows a full view of one of the side panels for it. Notice the notches on top which fit very snuggly over the corners of the iron stand.

Picture #2 - A close up of the notches which the side panel rests on.

Picture #3 - Shot of me holding the side panel over the side of the stand, shows how it fits. It sits very snug in place and doesn't move at all...There's a small strip of wood on the bottom of the panel which rests on the bottom of the iron stand as well.

Picture #4 - Side panel in place. Both sides are identical. So im only showing the one side :D

Picture #5 - Inside shot of one of the fasteners which holds the front panel in place....I call them outhouse door locks. THat's what they remind me of. There are 3 of these total...One in each top corner, and on in the top middle. None on bottom...you will see why in next pictures.

Picture #6 - Shows part of the middle fastener, and you can see the other corner as well.

Picture #7 - This picture shows how it is kept in place on the bottom. There is a small piece of 1x2? 1X3? Screwed into the back of the front panel...when you insert the front panel into the opening of the iron stand...it rests on these small pieces of wood...then you fasten the "outhouse door locks" and it doesn't move at all. very solid.

Picture #8 - Shot of stand with doors open.

Picture #9 - Shot of stand with doors closed.

Picture #10 - This is a full shot of the tank with the stand...and the black, partially finished canopy. Camera flash OFF.

Anyway, I think it's a very good alternative to a full blown wooden cabinet. You really can't tell the difference by looking at it. And the total cost of construction....$100 Canadian...which is ROUGHLY $60~$65US.
Hope everyone likes it. I know I do

Was that a homebuilt stand? If it was whoever built it did a nice job, the welds on the iron even look good. Pretty clever way to do it.

The iron stand is a standard all-glass-aquarium stand. Id void my warranty if i used a homemade jobby.
