Well, to my surprise my gold barred maroon clowns have laid eggs
today.
I thought my clowns were nesting as they have been acting quite amorous
lately.
I have been watching them the last few days and when I noticed them
brushing against a rock near their favorite anemone, I noticed what
appeared to be a large egg patch.
Sure enough, the female and male were in the process of laying and
fertilizing a large clutch of eggs.
Needless to say I am thrilled.
Anyone have any advice?
I figure I will just let things play out and see how they do with their first
clutch.

Congrats, typically it takes about 10 days for the eggs to develop and then they become free food for the tank as they swim away. Once a pair starts breeding, they will do it regularly about every 14 days as long as they stay healthy and happy in your tank.

My Perc's laid eggs and they hatched.. I have about 4 or 5 swimming in the tank and they are growing. There are tons of places for them to hide and they do.
