very large worm

I was moving some rock today and when i turned it over there was a very long worm like thing moving inside. Can any one tell me what it is?

Maybe a bristle worm, can you post a picture?

Right now no. It's really curled up inside. I did notice that it has a lot of legs like a centerpede

Should I be concerned? I'm just guessing but could this thing be eating my hermits? When I moved the rock I found about four or five empty shells.

How big was it? Not likely, but when they get big they have potential to become a problem. Search the threads for "bristleworm" to see a picture to confirm.

Again just guessing, but I'm going to say at least 4 to 6 inches and about a 1/4 inch in dia.
