Watson, we prefer that links to other forums not be posted at SWF.com....and -- also has the same policy.
Please feel free to post info that is unique to our forum, and we'll try to help you out.

Well thanks for your very helpful post to my very sick fish that is in dire need of prompt attention ASAP. It is nice to know we are looking out for each other in this sensitive hobby.
I don't know what else to say but wow.
Ok I will try this again, if there is anyone out there that is actually willing to help me out with something constructive and not some political post about why we can't reference prior discussion and review other educational comments about the subject from another reef keeping site that would be great.
I will get the pics up latter this evening since i can't link to an outside document....As you will be able to see he is getting red by his gills, anyone know what this is from, he is also severely skinny, most of his color has all but faded away, there are patch spots of white where almost all of the color pigments are gone... what to do? Currently treating with para-med in 45G hospital tank, got him out of my 92GBF reef tank 2 days ago.

Is that picture in the QT?
It looks like he has a bacterial infection, in which case Maracyn Two for Saltwater fish would be the primary course of action. However, it looks like you have rock and sand substrate in the QT? Is that the case? Is that QT well-established?
Watson, don't take offense to the rules. There's only a few moderators here, and hundreds of hobbyists posting at SWF.com daily. We have to lay out the rules equally or it wouldn't be fair, and it wouldn't be manageable for us either. I'm sure you can understand.
Do you have access to Maracyn Two?

Yea that is the QT and yea it has some small pieces of LR and substrate and yea it is well established. It was my original tank from 2 years ago when i 1st started saltwater. Should the QT not have substrate??? or LR???
I will have to check with my LFS to see if they have any of the med you suggested, if not i'll have to place an on-line order. Or if not does ***** or petsmart carry it, i have access to both////
Nothing personal i understand there are rules, i was just frustrated b/c my fish is sick and my post to the pics of this sick fish was removed so it may have delayed my aid for the fish, that's all....
Thanks for your help and other words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
He seems a little more comfortable in the QT tank today and is a little more active, i'm still having trouble getting him to eat, i put a few drops of garlic extract in his brine and flake with not much luck. His red gills seem to be getting better. How long should i wait between adding meds, can i remed every day for say a week or is there a best case dosing to follow???

The rock, at least, should be removed prior to treatment. Petsmart or ***** should carry Maracyn 2 for SW fish. If they don't have the SW version then you can use FW, just double the dose.

Is there a particular reason for removing the rock???
What about snails and crabs (clean-up crew), can they be left in the tank???
