i just sent him a pm about it,the only thing he has listed is a protein skimmer....while im in here i wanna ask another question,if i put something in the tank thats not live rock,is there a possibility anything will ever transfer to it, like one of those human looking skulls you put in a freshwater tank....just thought it would be cool to have stuff coming out of the eyes and mouth

IMO that is a good deal. You might have to replace the protein skimmer depending on the type. The tank and stand look nice. I am going to let someone else comment on growth on the skull.

yearofthenick pretty much summed it up, except for the cleanup crew, which i completely disagree with. and also the phytoplankton.
i don't add phytoplankton and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you have specific animals that require such.
also 40 hermit crabs is in my opinion, 39 too many. they don't do a ton in the way of cleaning up. they do, however, do a good job at cleaning up the 40 snails you just bought.
adding capfulls of this and that without testing your water for the lack of this or that, can be highly detrimental.
test kits are mandatory. test for everything, and add only what you are lacking. in this application, more is not better. just enough, is best.

LOL... you saw right through me. When I first started in freshwater I had a castle in the tank. I loved it but after a while it did get tacky. I was being serious about not being sure if there would be growth on it. I would assume there would be growth because I have growth on my powerheads and surface skimmer.

i understand it probably being tacky and will probably never put one in there but ive just got questions and one of them was if i could put stuff in there that wasnt designed for saltwater...no need to hold back on the comments..if something is ugly say its ugly lol i can take it
