Well I moved about a month and a half ago in to the new house we just bought. I transported all the water and Live rock w/ me. and set the tank back up in a great spot. (Away from windows) But I had a bad outbreak again of red slime.
Well after fighting and fighting w/ it. I finally gave in. I got new lamps for the PC's. and that just seemed to make it worst. 1 month later. the red slime is just taking over. So I broke down and got MH for the tank. Well for 1/2 of the tank. B4 I was only running 2 55watt PC's for the whole 55g tank. Not bad since there was only fish in there. but now I added a 275w MH w/ 2 60w pcs and MH system from a reef store here.
Well guess what.
on the side w/ the mh the red slime is almost fully gone after about a week of being there.
So I added both the 55w PC's to 1 side and now that side is clearing up.
Ive heard of too much light causing the red slime along w/ the water and the feeding. But the only thing that I have changed is the lighting and that is taking care of it.
I was just wondering if anyone ever heard of any thing like this or if anyone has experienced this?

I have a RODI unit This was brand new never used installed. I left the old 1 at the old apartment.
