What are you doing to support the troops, Past present and future?
I give to the USO, I am active with an aviation museum. Here is the best part about flying for a museum and supporting vets:
I had the honor of helping the FACs with there reunion by giving O2 rides. to FACs and family. Today I strapped in a woman and her daughter. I gave them the preflight briefing, and we took off for a 1/2 hour flight. We landed, and when I looked back they were both in tears. Well, my landing wasn't that bad. It turns out they were the wife and daughter of an O2 FAC who was KIA while flying an O2-A. She had never really seen what her husband had done in Viet Nam. She had never flown in an O2.
My next flight was a bit rough on take off, I was a bit shaken myself.
What an honor to help her bring closure.
I thank them for their service.
I've seen people buy them dinner at restaurant ( got beat to the punch on that one).
No matter what the politics, these are the men and women who put the boots on the ground, and command the air and sea of the battlefield, and keep us safe and free.

And of course, argue for their cause on here and other sites a lot

I have done the same.
I have also when at the airport bought drinks for servicemen and women coming back.

My wife does the "Blue Star Moms" thing. They collect goodies and box them up and ship them to Iraq. My son whines when we load him up with stuff. Once in a while we will send him like 6 boxes of stuff and tell him to pass stuff out to the guys that don't get stuff very often. He gets mugged when he walk in with them. About due for a shipment now that I think of it.

Darthtang AW, 1journeyman and oscardeuce, Thank you for you support of our troops. I am the wife of a soldier who has been home now for 7 months after a 18 month deployment, 5 months state side 365 day in Iraq. I have the wonderful pleasure of working at a Family Assistance Center for the National Guard and give my support that way to others along with all the voluteering I do for my husband's unit.
reefraff- I'm sure all the guys love when your boxes arrive. My husband's unit was sent an unbelievable amount of stuff while they were in Iraq, many times they loaded up the helicopter and took stuff to smaller posts and to guys who didn't get much. I know you and your wife love sending the boxes out, I know I did.

I joined the Army during Dessert Storm. They never sent our division, but I wanted to go.
Served 6 years reserves...
Now?? Not to much.
