VHO Bulbs

Hiyas guys, I recently replaced my VHO bulbs 4x110. My question regards the correct spectrum, i have 2 actinic blue and 2 50/50 is this the wrong combination? and if so what would be the correct way to go?

Sounds like a good combo to me. I run 1 50/50 and 1 actinic with my MH

Spectrum should be fine. I like the crisp white look of 1-10K and 1-actinic but it is all about the look as long as you have some actinic. 10K bulbs have some actinic in them anyways so either 10k or 50/50 will accomplish the same just look different.

i just got a VHO setup and i got one 10K bulb and one 03 acitic. at first it was WAY too white for my tastes and tank, but im getting used to it. i still think the first time i replace my bulbs, im getting one 50/50 instead of the 10K.

a 1:1 ratio of actinics to 50/50 looks the best IMO, its a nice white look with a lot of flourescence from the corals.
Its all personal preference though.

I have 2 super actinic 20k and 2 50/50 and love it.
