Hey I have been running 4x95 watt vhos for 8 months and have already replaced one blue actinic and the other blew tonight. How long do VHOs last? They are URI and Im running a ice cap 660. Thanks
I agree with rendos. I would not say it is the bulbs problem. I have always run URI and have never experienced blowout. Only regular changing.
Also check your endcaps for a tight fit.
I hope it's not too late but if you look at the bulb and one end is dark then you can identify which endcap is faulty. This is usually caused by a loose wire that is arcing to the electrode. To be safe I would replace the endcap completely as the arcing can damage the plastic.
