VHO Lighting question

Hey all - I have two 75 watt 24" URI VHO bulbs over my 20 gallon.
They are both 50/50 bulbs. I like hte look but the mroe I look the more I think I would prefer to have a less "reddish" color in my tank.
The bulbs are just about 6 1/2 months old and so Iwas thinking of replacing just one of them with a Actnic bulb ... would that take some of hte red out or should I go the other way and get a 6500K bulb??
Does this question make sense?
My overall goal is to make my green candy cane look like it does when I look @ it from the top down - which is a smoking brilliant green .....
TIA - Jerome

I have the same setup in my 20 gal, but I have 1 actinic and 1 10,000k bulbs. Here is a pic of my lighting over my tank:

I think 50/50 bulbs are actinic and 6.5k sometimes.... I saw once that it definitely was not a 10k white. Try the 10k white and actinic. Much more blueish. I have heard 20k is really blue and actinic is even bluer....
BTW 6.5k is more reddish/yellow so go higher in the spectrum.

I have the same bulb setup running on an electronic ballast. i run one 50/50, and one Super Actinic. The tank is a CRISP, i mean CRISP white coloration and the corals flouresce like you would not believe. THere is no blue tint to the water that is noticeable with ambient light from the room, but in a dark room there is a blue tint to it. I would not change my bulb selections for anything. I have seen several other setup/combinations and have yet to see anything that comes close to my tank.
I would post a pic but I havent gone digital yet:rolleyes:

I would also add an Actinic bulb to the mix of your other bulbs. Is it possible to add a 3rd VHO?
I had 2 10k and 1 Actinic VHO over my 29 and really liked the look of it a lot. Then I added another Actinic bulb and liked the look even more. That is where you will get the corals to "glow".

I need bulbs too and I was thinking about the new 03 coralife and one 50/50. Is that good or should they be the same type 48"?

Well . . . . I would rather put the money into my tank than into a camera to take pictures of the tank. If I bought the camera instead of putting the money into the tank, then there would be nothing to take pictures of!:p
Seriously though, I had a digital but it crapped out on me and I cant seem to affford a new one yet seeing as how those damn student loan payments are about to start:(
But you have seen my tank on here before . . . . . .;)
