VHO question

I was wondering if there was any way to wire a single 36" VHO bulb on a cheap 100 watt flouresent ballast.
I didnt want to have to spend $200 for an Ice Cap ballast to power a single bulb. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If you could I would also like any information on this kind of stuff. I am an electrician so could wire it up just need the information.
