vho retro fit kit

I am interested in getting a 48in VHO retrokit i have 48.5 inches in my homemade canopy is this enough room for them to fit?or should i go for the 46.5 in kit any advice would be great

I fit the same in my canopy with abut the same room. Mine touches each end snugly. I guess it depends on the particular kit and, if with the endcaps, it is truly 48" or not.

I suggest knowing exactly how much room you have before you buy the retro kit. Trust me I bought the Icecap ballast, end caps, and 48inch lamps thinking no problem my NO light with fixture fit perfectly what is the difference. After I put everything in my hood DOH the 48 inch lamps were too long. So let my lesson save you the hassle I went through.

Thanks If worse comes to worse i will take apart my canopy and add a wooden spacer to accomadate the 48in i think im going with.
