Which do you think is better?
3- 24" URI's total wattage 225
3- 24" PC 195 watts
Not to sure which to switch to.

I didn't know they made 24" VHO's. I personally think the PC's are a better investment as you don't have to replace the bulbs as often, but they are more sensitive to moisture and vibration.

I would suggest getting an IceCap 660 Ballast and then you can switch back & forth or even mix & match.
A pair of 24" PC daylights & a 24" URI SuperActinic would be a good combination IMO.
Also - it is my opinion that on an IceCap ballast VHO last longer than PC bulbs, 12-14 months vs 10 - 12 months.
PCs have a small "Sweet Spot" that is significantly more intense than what VHO can achieve though. This sweet spot is a good place for more light demanding corals.

Yes, You can use PC with the IceCap 660 as well as NO, HO (including T-5), and VHO.
Other ballasts can do this with the proper wiring. IceCap is the only one I know of that you can just hook up the bulbs and the ballast will figure out how best to light them.
