VHO's or Power Compacts???????

Anyone want to touch on this debate? I want
to make an upgrade in my lighting to support some corals of variuos nature. I have a 55
gallon "somewhat reef" and need some realworld advice, not some salesmen opinion.
Any and all replies are greatly appreciated.

i have a 55 gallon reef with a 48 inch hamilton pc with 4 55 watt bulbs(2 being acitinic blue). My corals are thriving and tank looks great. i don't know much about vho but can only tell you that pc's work great.I have had no problems with my pc system.
