VHOs with MH - 2 questions

I'm going to be adding some VHOs to supplement my MH. I've got the heat from the MH under control. First question: Will the addition of three 75w VHO tubes add significantly more heat? Because of space limitations, I'm planning on running the VHOs under the MH bulb (VHOs will be perpendicular to the MH). Question 2: Will 3 VHO bulbs spaced approx 3" appart block a significant amount of light from a single 250w MH? I.E. Would I be losing more than I would be gaining?

I second BigMac.
Putting a VHO where it blocks a MH is decreasing the light quite a bit. In addition, the heat from the MH will destroy the VHO rather quickly making them useless. Heat kills flourescent bulbs.
Sorry, I don't have a solution to your problem.
Is it possible to get a smaller reflector or use a pendant for the MH?
