Thanks man...

Awesome... I spend an hour making this thing and ONE person watched it.

No, I tried last night when you put it up, but the link wouldn't work. Just tried again and saw it. Very cool. I love watching the rays. It appeared about mid-way that you were touching the lion...I thought they were poisonous

that is an awsome tank! Is there a reason you touched your lion? I know they pack a powerful kick when you get stuck.

Thanks for the comments all. And Subielover, who said I get anything done around here?

The lionfish's venom is in the spines along its back. I would never intentionally touch those spines.
However lions are very curious in aquariums. Mine especially since I taught it to eat frozen food by handfeeding and since I handfeed a few of my fish. So it would be tough to work in the tank if I yanked my arm out every time the lion approached. I will touch it's side or belly as a way to ward him off when he's in the way.

Haha, nice. Have you ever been stung by the lion? I have read (no personal experience whatsoever) that it is similar to a bee sting, is that true? Your rays looks so freaking cool, I love it.

Never been stung (knock on wood). I've handled lots of lions and haven't been stung yet.

What kind of rays are those? Does any of your fish ever pick on them?

They are a yellow ray and a blue dot ray. My current fish never pick on my rays but I've had fish in the past that picked on them. Specifically my sohal tang and my moorish idol had to go because they beat up the rays.

Awesome. I thought I saw a purple tang but I wasn't sure. The grouper just appeared out of the rocks so I wasn't sure about him either. Being able to hand feed rays in your house is just crazy.
