Vintage Racing (Lots of pics!)

Aside from saltwater fish, I'm really into all kinds of car racing, and one of the biggest events every year in my neck of the woods is the annual Pacific Northwest Historics, a three-day vintage racing event that raises money for Seattle Children's Hospital. This year's meet featured the Chevrolet Camaro and vintage Trans-Am race cars. Here are some pics I took this year.

I thought I should also include some pics from years past, since the same cars aren't always there every year.

That's Dan Gurney's AAR 'Cuda Trans-Am racer. For those of you who don't know, Gurney is one of the winningest American drivers ever, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and several Formula One races, among many others. Gurney actually came to this event several years ago and signed autographs for hundreds of people.
