Virgin Komodo Dragon pregnant

A captive raised Komodo Dragon in an England zoo is pregnant and has never even seen a male. Apparently, another virgin one in a London zoo is also pregnant. Although around 500 know species are capable of this, they are unsure if this trait has developed or always existed in Komodos.

I liked the part where the zoo keeper described her personality as "demure".

This reminds me of Jurassic Park when they said they were all females to avoid breeding and Jeff Goldblum's character said "nature will find a way".

That's funny/odd, my son just turned in a report on Komodo's today. He had to reaserch the heck out of them to come up with enough info to write a decent report. HMMM......... His report was good though! This article would have given it an interesting twist.
