Visi Jet PS?

Does anyone own a Visi Jet PS Protein skimmer? If so, How long after you have it hooked up should stuff begin to show up in the collection cup?

about a day. then i got rid of it. biggest waste of 45 bucks ever. and i couldnt get it to stop spitting out air bubbles.

if you want to keep it try messin with the venturi thing that allows the bubbles thing to change. that should help stuff start to accumulate. it also wont collect anything for a while after you feed or put your hands in the tank.

ok..yea, It wont stop spitting lots of bubbles and i have had it in now for about a week and still nothing. I have tried merssing with the air flow thing but it just spits out bubbles worse or if i turn it to low there isnt anybubbles in the tube

Ditto on the piece og crap! sorry, but I got rid of mine just as fast as I installed it. You can mess around with the air flow adjustment, and if your lucky it might work for a few hours. Best thing I can advise is cut your losses and invest in a good skimmer. I went with a CPR bakpak for reef aquariums. Love it! The water is soooo clear and clean.:happyfish

Alrighty..Im just gonna take it apart..I guess I'll just use the powerhead. Guess im gonna have to fork over some more money for a better skimmer! Oh well. Guess i cant skimp on the money when it comes to that! thanks!
