Visit The New England Aquarium

I went to the New England Aquarium in Boston Tuesday (9-7)...what a great time. It's been years since I'd been, and now that I'm so interested in keeping a reef tank of my own it just seems that much more amazing. The giant ocean tank in the center of the facility is one of the world's largest cylindrical saltwater tanks...it's 200,000 gallons, 24 feet deep, and houses over 800 animals including some 3000 corals and sponges. It's really just like SCUBA diving without actually getting in the water!! Very cool... The pictures I took around the big tank didn't come out. They also have several huge tropical reef tanks... huge not giant.... these tanks are 2,000 - 5,000 gallon
tanks, and very well done.

Admission was $15.95, and the IMAX tickets were $8.95.
THe SeaDragons were very cool...
I might go again as they are about to change the main exhibit.
Right now it's Jelly Fish... not sure what they are going to
change it to, but when they do I'll be in line.
