Vlamingi Tang eating xenia coral

Hi, I have a large Vlaming Tang (9in). He has completley wiped out my beautiful xenia coral. I know this guy is always hungry and would eat just about anything I throw into the tank. I feed only once a day and I mostly feed nori but I mix it up with brine shrip and pellets. Has this happened to any one else and if so how do I balance overfeeding my reef tank and keeping the Vlaming happy.

I have a 3" Vlamingii. I had some nice plants in my tank, which took up half of the tank, dont know the name but they look like feathers. Anyway, he ate them all in a week. I didnt mind him nipping on them but he demolished them. I ended up moving him to my fish only tank. They eat like crazy. His stomach looked like it would burst, but he kept eating.
