I'm suprised no one has advised you to ditch the marine snow, as it is mainly just pollution in a bottle. it is nothing I would ever put in any tank unless I wanted it to be dirty.

Things look good in the pictures.
Thanks. Henry But what you don't see is the subtle to severe changes in color loss. Lps and zoa have no color changes, the majority of my corals are sps and all but two (out of 26) did not loose color It's depressing. I've doubled up on the egg crate.

I'm long over due for a pic but I'm wondering how much everyone is dosing per gallon? A lot of the symptoms that come with dosing never really happened with my tank.

Thanks Henry I have a 32 gal DT (guessing about 28 gal water) and 15 gal of water in the sump. I dose 1.3 ml in the morning and 1.3 ml at night. That equals .060 per gal. It looks like your .074 per gal if you have 27 gal of water. Looks like I have a little wiggle room but not much.

Stopped dosing around July 10. I believe that my tanks nutrients were too low despite my feedings daily. I've had nearly 90% color loss and I believe it's tied to the carbon dosing. I've stopped dosing for a little over two weeks now and have noticed a couple of my acros have started to slowly color back up. I've had a pretty big flux in algae outbreaks so other adjustments have been made. I'm going to close this thread and follow up in a month or so.
I'm not against dosing at all. In fact it works very well. I don't have a big bio load to justify and I'm not home enough to feed constantly. If I ever, I mean, when I get a bigger tank I will consider dosing again.

I've started dosing again on September 14 2012. Busy times don't plan on dosing more than .5 ml per day. Let the experiment begin. Too much ha.
