Volcano Tank

Definitely in the top few most popular tanks around da forums. Sweetest part is the land crab(s).
Still of the opinion that poor Sailfin really needs to go. Just way too tight for him, but he's way too thin.

This is pretty original. Caught this after looking at the overstocked topic and video (which has been deleted per OP).
Bang Guy, this reminds me of the sponge growing out of the tank topic from long ago. lol
THX for that deletion.
It would of been a bad thread... no reason to clog the board with that!
The volcano is way sweet.... Very inventive, with a lot of $ ! Glad my thread come up with some good! lol

wow that is pretty sweet...a lil overstocked imo though. I like the 2nd video where he sneaks his hand in the scene and throws some food in. That crab is lrg. and i think he should feed the tank more, but it was prob just for show of the video!

Actually, I think that topics like that could be useful to new aquarists, taking care not to insult the YouTube posters, or ridicule anyone. It would take effort to pull such a discussion off in a positive manner, but I think helpful in many ways.

What is really great about a tank like that is the fact the fish have the tank to swim around in, instead of just back and forth and in and out of the rocks.
I put my rocks in the center of the tank so my tang which would be happier. My book says he really needs a 100g instead of my 90g, he isn't too big for the 90g yet (I had this fish since it was the size of my pinky fingernail) but the rock in the center allows for him to feel like he has more space. The valcano tank creates that same illusion for the fish.
LOL..That is not a tank for a household with small kids or cats.

I agree, that's why I tried to get it going again. But my attempt at a show and tell didn't click with people, hence the reason I said I planned it poorly.............. (the youtube poster asked for input, I told him to come to a SWF fourm for answers, and posted it on here for us to discuss.)
But I am done with that attempt i'll come up with another thing shortly.

I don't think fish can swim around that volcano. It looks like it takes up the back side. There is actually limited space in this tank, and its swallow as well. One might say that it is overstocked.

It has a 48x24x12 footprint, which confirms that it is way overstocked, with fish not appropriate for that size tank.
It is a very interesting concept, and attractive to look at. Pristine looking too.

He has a web site for this tank, and in the pictures you can see they CAN swim around it...... Still doesn't mean a 75 gallon tank with a huge volcano in the middle is enough room....
