Krista is absolutely right, check out your local reef clubs to find fellow reefers around you. :)

Reef clubs are great for getting together with other hobbyists. We had our meeting yesterday and talked a little about water chemistry and products. Hopefully soon we will get our member cards so we can get 10% off products at some fish stores.
It's nice to "see" others set ups and how they run their little pieces of ocean. The one we went to yesterday had an MP40 and OH MY GOD!!! I want one of those! Lol
The club is also great for trading or buying corals or dry products farely cheap, and you know they work great because they had used it and took care of it.
Clubs are also great if you need help putting something together like a refugium or lights. Truly a great way to learn new and different things.
It's funny though, for the first hour everyone just stands there and admires the tank and it's inhabitants.

Heh, my "trading stock" consists of one or two little pieces of Kenya tree coral. I've never looked to see what reef clubs we have around this part of town; I'm just a liiitle too far north for the Miami clubs. Nissan, you know you're close to Two Little Fishies home office, yes? I went down there for a visit one time and met Julian Sprung.....very nice guy, and a great family office.
Siptang, I get over to the Weston area every once in a while....wife used to work just off of Pine Island rd, very close by you. Do you go to The Reef Zone at all?
