Again, reread what we said. Products that are inspired by design, and are exciting. What Honda competes with a VW R32? Or an Audi RS6?

had 2 vw as company cars for a family business. the first one was a passat that had 2 cylinders freeze up with only 95,000 miles on it. it was a pretty neat experience having a car body shake that hard and not be in an collision. i then got a jetta tdi. to start the pasenger door handles were never conected at the factory. than the stereo died twice, and the stupid armrest inbetween the front seats totaly fell apart. what a pos we sold it with 15,000 miles on it. the problem with the vw's in the states is they are made in mexico not europe.

The problem for VW in the US is that they are intentionally (except for the Rabbit) marketed as an "upscale economy car". The Jetta/Golf can be bought in the UK for around 10,000 GBP. The equivalent VW here is $25k. VW is pricing themselves out of the entry level here, on purpose. They want to shed the image of the steaming pile of shiite that they were in the 80's and early 90's. The Rabbit is supposed to have a base price of about $16k, try finding a new one, even in this current market, for under $20k. And according to Autoweek and Top Gear, it is a flimsy POS-not nearly as well made as the EU models.
