To produce waves you tune and it's different on every tank, you have to find that sweet spot, and it's all about the frequency they are set at, and the frequency dictates to the controller how far down and how far up the pump actually goes and it's frequency of how often/how long up and down......

what does the apex do that the RKL doesnt? can it actually set the power ramp up and not jsut on and off at certain intervals?

I know a little more about the Apex, because that is what my LED build is gonna be centered around...I know that the Apex has 0-10v ports to control items such as leds, tunzes, vortechs and such.....Again not a techy by any means with that stuff, but something dealing with PDVM
