powder blue by far. I know that ich is especially prone in them but my lil guy is doing great. Not 1 sign of ich. I guess it all depends on where u get him and how you acclimate him. I definitely love the poweder blue.

the powder blue is much prettier and the yellow is an easier fish ot keep, IMO

Powder Blue By far. I am not a fan of yellow tangs. With the right set up and the quality of it when you purchase. I have heard that a UV Sterlizer is a must for these guys. Just my .02

i am asking the question because i have the tangs in my tank and i will get rid of one to help my tank perform better if it is overstocked as you all keep telling me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not look at the size of tank you have before I answered. A 50g is to small for either tangs. They like to swim fast. It would be ok for one for a little while, but you would have to get a bigger tank soon.

how would a yellow tang do in a 55gal thats 4ft long?

a 55 can do a tang for a little while, but as the tang grows it is going to need a bigger tank. I would not put a tang in anything smaller than a 55 that is for sure.

Heck - if you already have the gusy and their doing well keep the Blue guy and sell back the yellow. When mr. Blue gets too big (months from now) be ready with your new tank (or sell him back too).
