After. Most of the lakes within 100 miles have about three feet of ash on the bottom. My house I grew up in during the eruption had 3 inches of ash on the ground.

Those pics are amazing!!!! Most of them look like post cards though. You were there when Mt. St. Helens erupted? What was it like?

When i lived in WA i heard a lot of people talk about the possibility of Mt. Ranier erupting and everyone freaking out about it. I dont even know if its still active but after seeing it and the aftermath of Mt. St. Healens thats some scary stuff.

Yes I was there i was only 6, but i remembered that the day turned to night and you could'nt even drive your car for more than a few miles because the air filter's got clogged up with ash.
