Thanks,
Not able to the whole QT tank right now. I have my eye on a six line wrasse at the lfs. If he is still there week after next I will give him a try. The clowns I have are tiny and this particular wrasse is also pretty small. I'm trying to start with small fish thinking that if they "grow up" together maybe they will tolerate each other. Also should help to make the tank look bigger.

That's a great looking tank. I want to try a few soft corals. The biocube doesn't have the MH lights but lfs's are telling me the soft corals should do OK with the lights that I have. We are going to upgrade to a larger tank when I get the basement finished. Wanted to start with the smaller tank to get this all sorted out. So far so good.

Let me know how your tank goes, I just bought the Oceanic biocube too, except the 14gal version. :)

So far so good. Tank seems to be doing well. Has been runnig for 3 1/2 weeks. Right now We have 5 turbo Astrea snails, 2 scarlett and 4 blue leg hermit crabs, 1 emerald crab, 1 sally lightfoot crab, 2 false percs and a small colony? of zoo coral. Added in that order.Everybody is happy. 1 scarlett and the sally have molted, the fish are eating as long as I drop the food right on their heads and the zoos actually look like they are trying to spread. Will probably add a six line wrasse next week if he is still at the lfs when we go back.

it all sounds good but i think that you ought to slow down for a coupple of mo. its only been up for 3 1/2 weeks. you add that many fish that quick and your amonia is going to spike. i would add and wait...add and wait. Take er easy and enjoy what you have now.

Been a while sice I updated. Have learned a ton from this sight, reading diferent books and talking with different lfs sources. Tank has been running about 5 1/2 weeks. Water parameters are staying where they need to be. Water changes top offs and constant monitoring are keeping things looking good. Stock list so far is:
5 turbo astera snails
2 scarlett hermits
4 blue leg hermits
1 emerald crab
1 sally lightfoot crab
2 false percs
1 15 button colony of zoos
1 six line wrasse
1 Cherub angel
added in that order with the Angel just going in yesterday. After a few altercations between the wrasse and the angel evrybody seems to be getting along today. Will probably add a small flame hawk if I can find one in another week or so and then will let things sit for a while and then start adding a few more corals.
