Waikiki Aquarium

I've lost my mind....Decided about 20 minutes ago that I wanted to go to Hawaii at the very last minute, jumped online and found a screaming deal, I leave in about 4 hours for Honolulu!....I seriously want to go because of the aquarium and to do some underwater photo work....
Anyone know of any good dive spots or off-the-beaten-path of places to visit (I lived there for 5 years but never dived)

lucky. If I was just 5 years older I could get a scuba liscense. I can already scuba, but I can't technically get a liscense until I am 18. I live outside of D.C., and when I get my liscense, I am going to go to the Baltimore Aquarium (also awesome) and do this thing where you get to dive in their humongous tank (for $300 of course!)

umm try the marriot i believe the reefs off there r magnificant i was there, but didnt have my scuba license then so i just dove down to the bottom and layed there looking at the amazing corals, fish, etc....then lost my breathe and had to come up, but places like hawaii are mostly all amazing...so...ull find many good dive spots, and just do some off shore solo dives if you want those are always fun..
you must ppost pics when you get home!!

Oh ok, that makes sense why I haven't heard from ya....I use to snorkel all over the island when I lived there. Some nice spots down on the south east end of the island near Chinaman's Hat & Rabbit Island.
Shoot me a line when ya can ok?

Huh? What do you mean searching forums? I'm not sure, haven't talked to him but I thought he said he was leaving in ~ 4hrs after his post. That doesn't mean he didn't have a laptop with him at the airport or something.
How can you tell he was searching forums anyway?

If you get over to Maui, there is a great boat dive company called Ed Robinson, and a great shore dive company called Pacific Dive. We dove with Ed Robinson about 10 years ago, and just dove with Pacific Dive at the end of Jan. We did a scooter dive out to a manta ray cleaning station that provided my avatar image.

The 3/4" of ice we got Tuesday night is just starting to melt here. It's a whopping 36* now.
Are you going to do any island hopping? My parents visited the Maui Ocean Center and they said it was pretty cool. I don't know how it compares to the Waikiki though.

Lucky bum, diving in Hawaii while me and Wango chip ice off our car doors...life isn't fair

Our weather has been crazy. We went from 8" of snow, to 60* to an ice storm in a week.
Good thing the storm wasn't as bad as they thought it was going to be at first. We tested our generator Tuesday night just in case, but it wouldn't start
