I seriously did NOT want to get back on the plane.....Started my new job, so I had to come back....
Here is the pic of the outdoor reeftanks, 100% natural sunlight for both the reef and clam tank. There is also a surge system that flushes the reef tank every few minutes. The huge box you see in the on the top lefthand side fills with water, then it's dumped into the reeftank. I will admitt that I spent about 2 hours just looking at the clams as the colorations were sic.

Ya gota love this tank design.

I had several questions about this design but the guy wasn't very informed and admitted that he had no idea. I know that when the rainy season hits it can come down hard and last for up to 3-4 weeks of rain everyday (not all day) I was just curious if the system became diluted with freshwater during rain storms and if they had problems with SG and what they did to correct the problems. Also wanted to know if there were any external heat sources to keep the temp stable at night as that overflow tank acts like a radiator and it can get pretty chilly late at night.

Here is a pic of the main reef tank...The larger clam is about 3-4 FOOT long, freaking huge. The tank is not very colorful, the pic is pretty faithfull...
The Monti in the center was huge, had to be about 3' across and about 3' tall, the top was orange but the sides were kinda greyish, very old....

My LFS has am almost identical tank, minus the water exchange box.The one in my LFS runs like a Zero Edge tank, continuous overflow. It is an awesome setup.I think the skimmer is more of a booger collector from all the kids touching the sides though.
