Walmart r.o. water?

I've searched at Walmart for the R. O. water and what they have is their Great Value brand of spring water which says it is processed by micron filtered and ozonation. Is this the stuff everyone says to use? No one at Walmart knew anything about R. O. If this is not the stuff to use then why not? Also then if so, would any type of drinking water be o.k.? (except distilled).

Either use distilled or RO water either one is better than tap. But RO is better than distilled.

The walmart should have a culligan machine that you can get water from, this is the RO stuff. The stuff that comes in gallon jugs is not the RO water.

get the green lid water at walmart--its labled drinking water--but if you read label it is ro--
it's the only water i have used for water changes for 8months now and it has done fine. it comes in a case of three one gallon jugs for about $1.74

If you buy the prebottled water at wal mart then both the drinking water and distilled water are processed using reverse osmosis/RO. The distilled does however go through additional steps. I use the distilled until I can get my own RODI unit but I have never had any problems with their water.

Do you know if all Wal Marts carry that? I'm using distilled right now, but if I can find something better...

No funds right now for an RO/DI unit...and besides *embarrassed* not sure how to set one up and what that takes...

Most walmarts have an RO machine in the back and they only charge 33 cents a gallon if you bring in your own containers. Thats what I do.

I used to do that until my five gallon buckets disappeared... Wife won't let me hang on to all the little one gallon containers... Thats allright that is how I am justifying the RODI Unit.
Sometimes you can also find the stands in the shopping center parking lots and get it for .25 gallon Used that for a while to with no problems.

So Mud,
If I go into my Wal Mart and ask one of the people working there, what exactly should I ask for? They're obviously NOT going to understand what I'm talking about when I ask for the RO/reverse osmosis water machine.?
This is great, if it works out!!!

So, you just go in and fill empty gallon jugs? Are you SURE this is RO??? Not doubting, just being careful.

I'm pretty sure its a culligan machine that they have, which does RO/DI water. You can also call the culligan man and have them install a RO unit in your house, same as Walmart.

I haven't seen one at my local walmart, although I can't say that I'm there often enough, or for long enough to really look. Since I live in the white trash area of Baltimore, I'm in and out as quickly as possible.
