The Orange Spotted Prawn Goby is the answer to your problems: Is the answer to your problems:
Links of that nature are not allowed.
I have a 150g fowlr and have lots of windows in my house. I've got a good clean-up crew, but they weren't addressing the substrate. I was very frustrated for a few months. I got this guy, and he keeps my substrate looking AWESOME. Only two drawbacks: 1) until he covers the whole tank, he'll kick up clouds, but as he gets around, the aragonite gets cleaned up and clouds are not a problem (i have no issues with this after about a month), 2) He makes tunnels under LR; looks like a friggin engineering project. LR gets dug in, but it didn't cause any problems - just fyi. Had to share cause he's such a valuable part of my system. Enjoy.

My diamond goby also does a great job. He swallow mouthfuls of sand and it comes back out his gills.

Yeah, that's the right pic. I've got about 200 lbs of LR, and it seems to keep the substrate seeded. I only have this one guy roving the aragonite, so I don't think he's doing irreparable damage - just cleaning the top layer. I could be wrong, but my LR and skimmer continue to do a great job keeping my water quality up to par (+monthly 25% water changes). Just offering this solution because it has worked for me. I don't have anybody eating diatoms (Emperor Angel, Yellow Tang, Maroon Clown, Threadfin Butterfly, Pseudochromis, 3 Yellowtail Damsels, 1 Red Cleaner and 1 fire shrimp, 2 Urchins, cleanup snails & reefsafe hermits), so that might be a consideration if you have a Dragonet. Hope this helps...
