If your profile is current, I think your 55 is already overstocked. Cleaner wrasse seldom live long enough to change owners and, IMO, should be left in the ocean. Mandarin Dragonetes really need a large tank with lots of mature LR if they're going to thrive. Many sources suggest at least 100 gal.

If you just setup a 265gal, why in the world do you want someone's gift of a $19 dragonet or $15 cleaner wrasse?

If I'm following the thread right; I think they are to feed the grouper.

Interesting, I thought I was the only one that has successfully killed a Panther Grouper....
Congrats, that's not easy to do. I killed one once too; I didn't want to be cruel and fillet it while it was still alive. (Broil with a little paprika and a smidge of tarragon
!)

Yea, should have prefaced that with "not on purpose." He was the last fish to go when my 125 crashed from velvet, still alive in was at least 3.0mg/L ammonia (test could only get so green
). Couldn't find a couple other fish corpses, they were just rotting away for a couple days.... Set up a QT up, but by then I could catch him by hand, didn't really move fast, almostly gone. Died in QT. Outlasted two porkfish and a domino damsel, both of which are 10's on the hardiness scale.

I don't know why; but it seems velvet is never discussed anymore. I can remember when it was more of a problem than ich; at least at the lfs. I even treated every new fish with a product made by Tetra in QT, I think it was tetra-Oomed. they took it off the market.
